So much for blogging everyday! Sorry! It has been crazy here. We are on the go non-stop from morning til night. My feet are so darn sore, the first thing I am doing when I get back to Canada is get a pedicure and a massage! We have gone all over Rome, Florence, Grossetto and tomorrow, back to Rome.
Italy is a beautiful country with gorgeous views and buildings, but I have to admit I miss Canada very much. It is so hard to communicate with people here, the food, though delicious just isn't what I am use to or what I like to eat, and I really miss my family and friends.
It is sooooo busy here. Non-stop traffic and crowds, arrgghh. I would never be able to drive around here or anything..
Well,, gotta go, my new friends are calling! Ciao..

Welcome to my blog...
What is my blog about? Hmm..Everything, and anything! Whatever I feel like putting out there for everyone. I will probably blog alot about my love of reading, my obsession with nail polish, and whatever else falls in between.

Day two in Italy
So tired! Time change is a killer! Up at 8:30 am Italy time (2:30 am my time), and I have to tell ya, I looked like a bag of dog poo that was smashed against a tree and left out in the sun to dry up! Seriously, my eyes were so swollen, I thought I had been in a fight and blacked out! I have bruises all over, 3 on my upper right arm, 2 on my upper left arm and a big one on my right hip..I don't have a clue as to what or how I did it either.
I doctored myself up and tried to make myself presentable, but I don't think it worked to well, I just looked like a fresher version of what I described in my first sentence!! LOL
Breakfast in Italy is so not like anything we have ever experienced. We are use to eating bacon, eggs, pancakes or waffles and cereal with muffins, bagels or toast. In Italy we got hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, rolls, granola, red orange juice and a really sweet tasting grapefruit juice. I took pictures of what their version of toast was...I found it quite funny...

It comes in a package, like melba toast but slightly larger, it's cute!
After breakfast we were on th bus and off to the Coliseum! Very hot day!! In the high 80's mid 90's but felt like it was 110! We walked, and walked and walked. We walked from 10 am until night, and I have the huge blisters to prove it!
We walked so much today, I swear I should be 50 pounds lighter!! When I got back to the room after supper and took off my shoes I couldn't believe how swollen my feet were, within 2 mins. of taking my shoes off my feet looked like footballs! Showered and propped them up on some pillows and they were good to go in a few hours, I'm willing to bet I'll be in some major pain tomorrow though, in places I never even knew I had muscles to strain! lol
The boys had a great game against Italy.. They won 9 - 3! I even got some video of Tyler hitting, unfortun. I stupidly kept the video camera on him and didn't show where he hit the ball out to, which he actually hit the fence, almost a home run hit! Great job Tyler and the rest of the USAAI team!

Off to Italy..
Wow...BUSY,BUSY day... Very tired! Didn't know if I would survive Shawn's driving to Toronto to the airport but I did (LOL), we were stuck in traffic for more than 30 mins and we still managed to get there 4 hours before our flight took off. Our flight to Philly was delayed by about 1/2 hour in total. Made it to Philly, just in time to haul ass to our departing gate and hope in the line to board. Bought a really nice frame with the Liberty bell on it, so I took a quick pic of the kids in front of a cool display so I can put it into the frame.
On our plane going to Italy, there was 2 seats side by side that were empty and the steward offered them to a single gentleman who was sitting in a middle row with a family..he declined so I threw my hand up and said I would take it (forgot my vaseline for my hips and it was one hell of a tight squeeze with Madi and I squished up against one another. LOL) Yea me! Madi ended up sitting by herself with 2 seats, and so did Tyler and me...wonder if we will be so lucky on the flight back??? Here's to miracles... What a long flight that was!!! We boarded 20 minutes early, but then got held up in a airplane caravan situation for 40 minutes so that blew our lead out the door! Flight was good. No turbulence at all..Only complaint, the on flight meal we were served, it tasted good, bbq chicken ( all 4 paper thin slices of it that were no wider than my index finger), the ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes, and a good portion of green beans, accompanied with a baby roll, bite sized brownie and if you wee lucky one whole leaf of lettuce with 1 cherry tomato and 1 cucumber slice as your salad. Oh yeah... I started to laugh and told the steward if he was smart he would stay away from Tylers seat until he fell asleep because he was liable to grab the guy and start chompin'! Surprisingly, Tyler didn't complain about what little he had...I was inpressed!
Didn't get to Rome until 8:30 am THEIR time, 2:30 am OUR TIME and then we had to wait around for the rest of Tyler's baseball team players and the girls from the soft ball team too...we were there until 1:30! We hauled butt to the Sistine Chaple as we were late, took in the sights, and I took a bunch of pictures. Check them out at my facebook sight. You can find it here at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150245430712610.327767.534812609.
Enjoyed dinner at a great little restuarant where we had homemade bread, drizzled with olive oil, cracked pepper and sea salt, followed by homemade lasagana noodles smothered in a delicious blush sauce, cheese and meat. YUM! Oh ya, can't forget the dessert! I believe it was Tiramusu...
Back to the hotel, did some stuff on the computer and showered, now I must get my butt to bed for our big day at the Collisieum, a tour of Rome, our first game and a trip to an authentic pizzaria!
Ciao!

At the airport in Toronto
So, I never did sleep, not even for a minute. Horrible, horrible case of the nerves. The only good thing about it was that I was up and ready to leave before everyone else and didn't have to fight for the bathrooms.
Going to the airport, which is normally a 3 hour drive from where we live (2 1/2 when my speed demon husband is at the wheel), but apparently there was an accident so we had a detour and got stuck in a traffic jam for about 30 min. Lucky for us, we left really early because I was worried there would be lines, I would get us lost (I am geographically challenged), etc, etc. Even with the delay we arrived at the airport before 11 am., 4 and 1/2 hours prior to our flight takeoff.. Since parking cost $28, my hubby just dumped us at the door and left. We managed to find where we needed to go, get our tickets and head to the US customs line. You will never guess who was standing in front of me...Lil' C, from So you think you can dance! I LOVE that show, one of the 4 shows that I watch on a regular basis. For those of you who don't know who he is or watch the show, he is a super cute, dance choreographer for the show, both US and Canadian. He was sooo...nice. We talked for at least 10 min. while we waited in line, and he even posed for a picture for me (I'm upset though, because my son didn't take his time and zoom in on the pic so it turned out fuzzy!) I wish I had thought to get his autograph! He was just heading back to the States for the American version of the So you think you can dance show, he was here working on the Canadian version. He was so laid back and friendly. He talked to my son about baseball, we talked about the show and my favourite genre of dance as well as who my favourite dancers were for this years season. Anyways, here are the pics, I don't know if anything can surpass this. Definitely the highlight of this summer for sure!

Can't sleep...
I've been trying, but I am having no luck what so ever...I just can't sleep. I am a bundle of nerves and just had a bit of a melt down...I'm better now. My BF from college helped me through my dreaded panic attack. I don't know what the hell my problem is...I swear the older I get, the loonier I become! (my doctor told me to eliminate everything and everyone in my life that caused me stress...how the hell do I get rid of myself?!?!?LOL
It all started when I was looking over the itinerary for the trip. I've looked at it a dozen times already, but for some reason I decided to google how far apart the cities we would be travelling to for the ball games were. I assumed it wouldn't be more than 15-20 minutes away since that's how it has always been whenever we do tournaments here in Ontario. Well, apparently Italy does things differently....The one place we have to travel to for games is a 6 hour train ride away according to the train schedule that I googled, and costs 101 euros, ONE way, for ONE person! That's a 400 euro round trip for me and my daughter! The other destination is a 5 hour train ride and 98 euros a person, one way! I was totally NOT expecting that kind of extra travel, and I certainly wasn't expecting to spend 800 euros travelling around Italy to watch my son play ball! I'm a little beside myself right now...I need to find a way to get my act together and chill the hell out about this trip...It is causing me WAY too much stress!
I don't know whattomorrow today will bring, I just pray God will help me get through this and help me find a way to relax a bit, otherwise this trip is going to send me over the edge! Keep your fingers crossed and me and my kids in your prayers....

I don't know what
Twas the night before Italy...
Ok, time to get off this computer and charge it up for tomorrow on the plane. Wish me luck! I promise to blog whenever possible from Italy...Chow!
Cant' get back to sleep!
Aarrggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I CAN'T GET BACK TO SLEEP! I hate this!!! I got up, made some eggs, ate, and went back to bed...I have been staring at the wall ever since...
Finished a book I started yesterday. The author is Lisa Scottoline, the book is called Save me. She writes alot like Jodi Piccoult. Without going into details, the book is about a mother and daughter, murder and self discovery. It's a good book. You should defin. read this one. I give it 4 stars out of 5.

"Ah HELL no!"
"What's that, why am I up blogging at 5:13 AM?" "Is it because of my horrible cold that my rotten husband gave me?" "Are one of my children up sick?" "Were nightmares visiting about plane crashes?"
"Ah HELL no!" I'm not up for any of those reasons, I'm up because....MY DAMN DOG PISSED ON ME!!!!!
"STOP LAUGHING, IT IS NOT FUNNY!!!" (I don't care if I laughed when he did it to my husband last year, it's NOT the same!)
My pug Kramer. My shadow. My adoring worshipper. The one who looks at me with such love, loyalty and devotion, PISSED ON ME!!!!!
I was all comfy and cozy, enjoying my medicated induced slumber when a strange noise and movement in bed awoke me. Kramer was making sounds like a sick pig I swear. Snorting, squealing and sneezing...I was actually really worried. I thought "oh no, my poor baby has gotten my cold and is sick, I don't have time nor money for this." (vet bills and forcing meds down his throat entered my head)
"Kramer hunny, come here. Come see mommy. What's the matter luv? Did you get mommy's cold? You not feeling good?" (Stop it! YES, I DO TALK TO MY DOG "that way" Gotta problem with that???!!!)
Kramer army crawls his way up to from the foot of the bed, (he ALWAYS sleeps up by my head so I knew something was up). ANYWAYS...he army crawls up to me, climbs up my body, (I told you I was a large woman, so YES he "climbed" up me) and laid his body across mine bringing his adorable little face inches away from mine, stared into my eyes and PISSED ON ME!!!
I laid there like a dumb ass, KNOWING he was pissing on me from the warmth and that God awful smell that only piss has, spread across me. I was in shock I think, MY fur baby does NOT piss on me! He loves and adores me! He may have pissed on my husband a time or two in the past, but really, if you knew my husband, you would understand....Hell, I want to piss on my husband most days too....LOL.
After the shock wore off (5 seconds later), I scooped up my pissy pup and carted his ass outside, and returned to my bed to strip it (Shawn was sleeping downstairs again, because the basement is cooler and he doesn't have to be woken up by me tossing and turning because I'm restless and whiny when I'm sick, even when I sleep apparently. LOL)
So I strip the bed, put on new bedding and go to bring Kramer back inside. I figure he has had plenty of time to finish whatever business he didn't finish on me...
No Kramer waiting at the back door..hmm. Strange. He usually can't wait to come back inside, (he is so not an outdoor doggy). I send my son out to go get him (he too, was up because "nature called", I was thankful HE didn't decide to come in and piss on me too!).
After I finished washing up and changing my clothes I step out of the bathroom to see the most pathetic sight I have ever seen. My fur baby was standing by the back door, with his tail between his legs, head hanging and his big, brown eyes peeking up at me in shame. (I know there are alot of you out there who aren't animal lovers, and don't "get it" when it comes to people like me, who truly treat their "pet" like a family member (one they actually love that is). Let me tell you, they DO have feelings, they DO, show emotion. This dog honestly was feeling ashamed, and scared, you could see IT, clear as day, written across his squished in, furry face. My poor pooch thought he was going to be disowned or beaten. Maybe he was having flashbacks from his former abusive owners who he was rescued from, I don't know, but this dog was scared. I called him to me and told him it was time for bed again and the poor little guy actually looked like friggin "Eeyore" from Winnie the Pooh! Head down, tail between his legs and moping along like he just lost his best friend, and went to his crate! My baby does NOT sleep in a crate! Never has! His place is in bed with us. This was depressing the hell out of me looking at him like that! I got down on the floor and called him to me, telling him it was ok, that I knew he didn't mean to, it was accident (one I could have prevented if I had remembered to let him go out before taking him to bed hours earlier). This was my fault (God I hate it when I have to admit that!!) I DIDN'T LET HIM OUT EARLIER! How friggin' stupid am I??? Poor dog is looking all pathetic and "Eeyore-ish" because of me.
I had to actually pick him up because he wouldn't come to me. He actually backed away from me when I went to pick him up...I cried (YES I CRIED! If you would have seen him, you would have too unless you didn't have a heart)
I picked him up and hugged him and told him that I wasn't mad, it was my own fault. I washed his stinky, pissy little belly off and tucked him into bed with me and snuggled him until I could actually feel the tension leave his body..
I suck! How could I put my poor pooch in a position like that? I promise to never forget to let him out again, SCOUTS HONOUR.....
So, now you know why I am blogging at this ungodly hour, and you will understand WHY I am now going back to sleep......
Good night..... again!

2 days before we leave for Italy!!
OMG am I feeling the nerves today! Only two more sleeps before Italy!!! I'm not ready!!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! Went to the bank and picked up the last of my euros, got some more packing done and that pretty much sums up my day...My nose is running like a drippy tap still (I love my husband, I love my husband, I love my husband...repeat, until the feeling to bitch slap him until he falls unconscious goes away..) Really though, I do love him...that crazy man took the last of our money that he was suppose to use to buy groceries while we were gone (trust me when I say there really isn't anything for him to eat here besides a package of pork chops, a pound of ground beef, some Mr. noodles, a can of tuna and some peanut butter, eggs and soup) and went and bought me more euros for our trip...that's love (going hungry for 10 days...I sure as hell wouldn't have done that!) LOL (seriously).
My big sister Deb came by tonight to visit me before we leave. It was a nice visit, I don't see her (or any of my brothers or sisters) very often so it is nice when we do get the chance to visit. I love her (and the rest of thejackasses, I mean, brothers and sister). LOL
That's all for tonight, taking advantage of being home alone (Shawn and Tyler are at baseball and Madi is babysitting), and going to bed early in the hopes of getting rid of this damn cold...
NIGHT!!
WARNING: THE PICTURE BELOW IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART...

Day 10..
Wow...I have to say it, "I frigging hate my husband for giving me his damn sore throat!" I should have slept in another room away from all of his germs, if this isn't gone by Sunday when I fly out, I'm payin' the pilot to run his ass down with the plane!
A happier note...My friend and co worker Laurie B became a grandmother today! This woman is an amazing person and baby Aiden is going to be spoiled to the core by his grandma and grandpa. I'm so happy for her and her family.
I didn't do a whole hell of alot today, too hot, too sick, and just plain lazy! LOL I did give myself a mani, hoping it stays on for Italy. I like it. I didn't do anything "Italian" because I just didn't have the colours and wasn't going out in this heat for anything. I did do one American flag nail, although I want to add some white stars or dots to the blue part. The rest I did in red and white for Canada!! (gotta represent! lol)

My thumb say "baseball mom" on it.
The red french tip nail is going to have the #20 on it, as that is the number of my son's jersey for the games.
Not much else going on today. I'm planning on heading to bed soon, I haven't been to bed before 3am since school let out, changing that habit tonight!
Blog ya later!!!

Day 9...
Well, I got busy doing laundry, and then I decided to start packing for Italy, by the time I was done that I was too pooped to do anything else, so I sat and watched So you think you can dance and proceeded to chew off my polish...I know, I know, besides being gross, it is not healthy for your nails, but I do it all the time...another "hard habit to break " (name that band)....CHICAGO! lol Sorry, I'm tired and being silly now! Anyways, I did use polish remover to finish off my nails and then decided to just put on Salon Sciences, fiberglass network treatment and call it a night.
Lots of running around to do today in order to be ready for Sunday so my posts will probably be short and sweet from now until...hmmm...I get back from Italy!

Day 8 con't..
So I went to the doctors today to find out what the heck has been going on with me. She told me I was dehydrated, my iron levels were very low, my stress level was very high and aside from telling me not to drive for a few days until my levels go back up and give me a few more prescriptions to fill she recommended that I get rid of any stress in my life, that included people who were stressing me out. Geez...thats a big list! LOL I hated to do it, but I gave my husband and son their pink slips when I got home and told them it was nothing personal, I was just following the doctors orders...LOL
I'm debating on taking off this mani tonight, or holding off for another day...either way I plan on doing a brand new mani and pedi on Saturday before leaving for Italy. I'm going to incorporate ball with Canadian, American and Italian influences somehow....Still thinking about that one.
Well, while I go do laundry, I shall ponder this awhile longer. If you have any suggestions, please leave your comments below...chow bella!

Day 8..
So I know the voting isn't over yet but picture one is winning by a landslide and I am bored with my old mani already so I couldn't help myself...I did the picture of the first mani tonight (I guess technically, this MORNING). I have to admit, I'm not crazy about it. First off, I couldn't find stars like the one in the picture so I settled for plain rinestones I had from Walmart at home. The picture looks like it has a matte finish, mine has a gloss. The person in the picture clearly took the time to tape off half of her nail to keep it straight and even, I couldn't be bothered. This is also the very first time I have used any type of gem on my nail, and I have to admit, I'm not liking it. Maybe mine are too big, I don't know, I just don't care for the look, plus I can't imagine them staying on for long. I'm thinking once I go to bed, I will end up with one or two coming off in the night, time will tell (or not, as I never keep a mani on for more than a day or two and I can see this one coming off very quickly).
I took a picture of the polishes I used. I started with 2 coats of Salon Sciences, fiberglass network (I'm hoping it will strengthen my nails), followed by China Glaze, strong adhesive base coat. I then applied 3 coats of urban grey, by Avon, 2 coats of ORLY, sec n' dry, 1 coat on 1/2 my nail of OPI, black shatter. I added another coat of sec n' dry applied a rinestone and yet another coat of sec n' dry to adhere the rhinestone to my nail.
Like I said, I'm not crazy about it....what do you think?

You have to excuse the horrible condition of my cuticles...I'm working on them...
Day 7...
Hello, and good morning! I am feeling MUCH better today, tummy is still a bit upset, but dizziness and headache are gone!!!
While checking up on some blogs I have been following, fellow blogger, Carina at http://www.gildednails.co/2011/05/illamasqua-nails-masterclass-with-mandi.html , had posted some great nail tips from Mandi Levanah, a nail professional, who has had her work published in Vogue, Harpers Bizarre and worked with celebs such a the Pussycat Dolls, Rhianna, Pink and Nicole Richie. I thought Carina wouldn't mind me posting the tips here on my blog as long as I gave her credit for it...hope I'm right! LOL

I thought Carina wouldn't mind me posting the tips here on my blog as long as I gave her credit for it...hope I'm right! LOL
Here are the nail tips:
- When filing the nail, it is best to use one with a 'fine' abrasive surface such as a 240 grit file. This will prevent damage occurring to the nail when filing which can cause the nail to peel on the tips.
- The most flattering nail shape for a person is usually one that mirrors the natural contours of the base of the nail. However, she noted that it also depends on fashion and your preferences, so choose a shape that makes you happy!
- Don't paint your nails straight after soaking them in water or having a shower. Water relaxes and changes the shape of the nail and if you paint them when they are still damp and relaxed, as they dry and reshape, the nail polish can crack, peel and bubble. As such, the best time to paint your nails to ensure a lasting manicure is when they are completely dry!
- Use a nail prep whenever possible so that all moisture and surface oils are removed and you have a clean, dry base to work with.
- ALWAYS use a base coat before applying your polish.
- When applying the polish, use the three stroke technique (for a pretty good demo of this technique, check out this post) and don't load the brush with too much colour, otherwise it will run down the brush and flood the nail.
- Always leave a 1-2 millimetre gap between the polish and your cuticles.
- If you get polish on your cuticles or too close to the cuticles, use a small, fine makeup brush dipped in acetone to clean up the cuticle area (I use the technique in this post).
- Always use a top coat to ensure your mani lasts. If you want it to last for at least a week, refresh your top coat every second day.
I think the best tip I got from Mandi was to be creative and not be afraid to use colour and mix things up a little with some nail art and funky colour combinations!
Hope you find these tips as useful as I have!
While blog hopping I have found seen the new Finger Paints Fall colours that will be available in August!!! They look amazing, can't wait! Fellow blogger Polish Insomniac had them posted on her blog, here I go stealing again! Geez, I really hope they don't mind! I don't know about the price listed at the bottom, I'm sure prices are different where she is from but the colours...GORGEOUS! You can click on the title below to be taken to her blog...
I'm baaackk...........(7:53pm). Well, I had an interesting afternoon! Remember earlier how I said I was feeling soooo much better? Well, I spoke to soon! Around 2:30 my dizziness came back with a vengeance, and with it came it's friend nausea. I decided to get up and get supper going ('cause isn't that what you SHOULD do when your head is spinning faster than a spinning top??) Stood up, got to the love seat and thought, "wow, I think I'm gonna either hurl or pass out!" and THAT was the last thing I remember. Next thing I know, I'm staring up at our living room ceiling fan and my dog has his whiskers up my nose and is licking the skin off my face. I should tell you, for those of you who don't know me, I am a LARGE woman. If I fall down, I'm making some noise when I fall down, it ain't like some feather weight anorexic girl sliding daintily to the floor, I'm talking, baby bear falls out of a tree kinda noise! You would think my neighbours would have heard it, let alone my two kids AND sleeping husband, but noooo, not one person came out to see what happened. I laid there and hollered for someone to come out of their rooms and help me for what seemed like forever, until my daughter came out and I told her to go get my husband. Well, again, for those of you who don't know me, or my family, you wouldn't know that waking my husband up is like waking up a sleeping bear, and if you think that once he is up he would be ok to talk to you're wrong, it only seems like you are now talking to an angry, stoned bear because he is so dozy when he first gets up. Imagine the help I got...went something like this...
karla (laying on the floor), daughter Madi (sitting on the love seat) and Shawn, (standing over me).
Shawn: "what are you doing? did you fall or something?"
Madi: "she fainted"
Karla: "mmhhmm"
Shawn: (sits on the couch and stares at karla laying on the floor), "sooooo, do you need me to take you to the hospital or something?
Karla: (still laying on the floor), "uumm, help up?"
Shawn: (raising his voice) "ya, well, I can't friggin' hear cause my damn ears are plugged up from this stupid cold!"
Madi: Laughs...
Karla: "Oookaayy??"
Shawn and Madi come over to me, Madi stands from behind, in case I go down again, Shawn pulls on my hands.
As Shawn pulls me up, he leans over and looks at THE BACK of my shirt and says, "I thought you said you swept the floor earlier? Doesn't look like it, your shirt is covered in dog hair!"
Karla (thinking this, but not actually saying it because I am still woozy "WTF???!!! I wish I had the strength to kick your ass right now!"
Shawn: (looks over at the stove), "what?! supper isn't even cooked yet?"
Karla: (I must have had a look on my face that said "shut the hell up" because he then said,"oh, thats ok, I'll finish it up...)
Really???? THANKS! (See what I deal with around here???)
I'm going back to bed for the night peeps...."see you all tomorrow!"

Day 6..
So, most of you know that I am going to Italy later this month because my son was chosen to play baseball for USAAI. It will be just me and the 2 kids. I gotta tell ya, the closer the time comes for leaving, the more nervous I get. I don't know if it is because it is a foreign country, the long flight, the fear my ass won't fit in the plane (lol...no joke, I am really worried about that!), the fact that I am the only adult going, the debt I am going into to get there, or what, I just know that from the beginning, I have not felt good about going on this trip. I haven't been feeling well the last few days, headaches, throwing up, dizzy...I'm beginning to think it is from worrying about this stupid trip so much! I really wish I could become more relaxed about this, after all, it is an experience of a life time...right???
Ok, I'm going to do another poll for my next mani ( I like to change them frequently). Please be sure to vote and tell your friends to vote too! (Sign up on the left, to receive my blog through email. That way, whenever I add a post, you will receive it right away!)

So I promised pics of my nail goodies that I bought while I was in the States on Wednesday so here they are, nothing crazy, just a few little goodies that made me happy!
I am feeling really crappy today. Sick to my stomach, the works! This will probably be it for my posting today, hopefully back tomorrow.
One more quick add on, here is a link to another great giveaway...check it out!
Day 5...
Ball tournaments finished. Both Tyler and Madi's teams lost their games so we are finished for the day.
Tried and Tried to break the tie on the mani pol, but alot of people said for whatever reason, it wasn't allowing them to...I tried to fix the problem, but thats a hard task to do when you can't actually SEE a problem..LOL Anyways, the people who tried to vote but couldn't told me what they wanted to vote for. I had 3 people wanting ice cream sundaes and 2 for watermelon. Sooooooo............the winner for todays mani experiment is ICE CREAM SUNDAE! Gonna go give it a try. I will post what happens later. If you want to give it a try yourself, her is the link to the tutorial..

Day 4...
Not a whole lot to blog about today. Both of my kids are in ball tournaments this weekend so that is where I spent my entire day today.
Madi played 3 games today in this crazy heat, and although she and the rest of her team tried, the did not manage to win any of there games today (they still have another game to play tomorrow).
Here are a few pics I took while she played today.
My son also played today but I didn't get the chance to watch him as I was at another park, on the other side of town with my daughter. His team managed to win a few games today and they are moving on tomorrow.
I thought that I would post some really cute pics that I took of my dog Kramer and his friend Charlie (my long time BFF's dog). We were at the park a few weeks ago watching my son play when Charlie, who apparently LOVES going to the park proceeded to climb the stairs to the slide and go down, continuously...Kramer, seeing this was very interested in what Charlie was doing. He would watch him go up the stairs, then run over to the slide to watch him come down. After a few times watching this, Kramer was itchin' to give it a go too (I should mention, there is a big age gap between Charlie and Kramer. Kramer is a senior at 8 1/2 while Charlie is still a toddler! lol) Anyways, my poor pooch doesn't really see well so he carefully took each step one at a time (quite slowly) then proceeded to the slide. Once there he becomes a bit nervous/anxious. You can see that he is really wanting to give this slide thing a go but he is unsure. Slowly he puts one paw on the slide, only to pull it back quickly (he does this several times). Then, he decides he will try adding his second paw...LOL Wow Dolly............there ain't no going back now cause he is sliding down that slide no matter how much he tries to back paddle! It was a hoot to watch, I wish I had video taped it!
Charlie is the first dog, my Kramer is the one in the second pic....Believe me when I say it was a hoot to watch!
Charlie was not strictly a slide guy, no sir! This dog loves the swings too! So much so they have a calming effect on him and he fell asleep! Kramer would have NO part of this swing thing however. I think the slide experience was quite enough excitement for the poor fellow! LOL
Isn't it the cutest thing ever???
Well thats it for today. I have cleaned up my nails in preparation for tomorrows new mani. Trying a new product tonight from Avon, silk wrap treatment. It is suppose to strengthen them and make them more flexible, etc, etc... Time will tell!
Until tomorrow....night!

Day three/part two
So, my daughters team lost their game and my sons team tied their game...we get to do this all over again tomorrow! I have to admit I am dreading it because I hear it's gonna be a scorcher tomorrow! ewww! Sweating! (I HATE to sweat!)
I am attempting to download video footage of Morgan (my honarary niece) to You Tube as we speak so hopefully I will get the videos up and running for you all to check out. She is soooo cute. She acts just like her mother, my long time best friend Carmen (God help us all! LOL) She is a super sweet kid with a personality that would knock your socks off and I love that kid!

So above is Morgan playing a form of "musical chairs" which involves horses and cones...it was quite funny to watch. Some of the horses did not want to play and would really be rather sleeping I think!
Above is actually the beginning of the musical "horses" games...
And more musical horses....lol
Morgan and her horse Joey
Morgan doing her round about....
Home relaxing now and trying a new cooler (to me anyways), Blackfly, Vodka blue-berry. Has anyone else tried these? I'm not sure if I like them or not. I have never been a fan of coolers but wanted to give it a try for something different. It isn't as sweet tasting as most which is good in a way, but it kinda reminds me of kool-aid straight from the package...anyone else out there ever use to stain your fingers eating kool-aid out of the package as kids? I swear it was a huge thing back when I was in grade six at WT Laing....Grape and Lime kool-aid all the way! lol Anyways, back then I guess I liked it well enough to eat it when I was a kid, but not such a huge fan now..just don't have the stomach for more than one I think...Let me know if you've tried this and what you think of them...
And finally, before heading off to bed, I would like to know from everyone what new nail design I should try on my nails this weekend?
The above pic is called ice cream sundaes. Isn't it cute? I wish I could remember what blog I took this picture from so I could give them credit for it, but I just can't...sorry.
This pic is called skittles and I'm not sure if the title in the bottom corner is the name of the blog I took this pic from or not.
Ok, here we have watermelon (in case you couldn't guess). This pic is from http://www.robinmoses.com/
And last but not least, I have picked rainbow as a possibility. Again, I can't remember whose blog this is from, sorry.
So, what do you think? Help me out. Which one should I try out? I have never attempted any of these before so they might turn out to be a flop for me (remember, just a crazy 40 year old woman who has a wacky nail polish obsession, NOT an actual trained nail tech!) LOL
Day three....
Wow...busy day planned today, don't know if I will get the chance to blog it all but I will try.
A good friend I haven't seen in quite awhile came by today for a pedi and a mani...we had a good visit as well and are planning a BBQ get together for "our group" of childhood friends sometime this August if all goes well.
My honorary niece Morgan invited me to her rodeo at TJ Stables this afternoon. It was damn hot outside, but I had alot of fun watching her and the other kids with their horses. I plan on trying to load some videos I took while I was there later on this weekend. Good job Morgan! You look like you've been riding a horse for years! I think we should convince your dad to buy you one of your own and keep it out at the farm, he can put a pasture in right??? LOL
Poor hubby not feeling well today. Had to go med shopping for him. I better not get it...I leave for Italy in a little over a week!
After the rodeo I went to Future Shop to get a digital camera for my son as a graduation present. What a mistake that was! Geez! Took me all of 5 minutes to pick out the camera, bag, etc and another 45 minutes to try and get the damn sales man to get me rung up! Man, that Adam can talk! I can handle talking, but move your fingers on that computer while you do it for crying out loud. Then the damn computer stopped working so he said it would only take a "few minutes" to get it back up and going...HA! NOT! It never did get back up and running so I had to come home and order the darn camera online myself! (the camera I picked out was not in stock, so he was going to order it for me to save me the trouble of doing it myself)
He assures me it will be in before we leave...it better be Adam!!!
Run around some more, meds, beer store, sally...shhh! (I only got essentials! Nail repair, and more sec n' dry by Orly..that stuff rocks!)
Inhale a burger for supper and heading on out the door right now for my daughters ball game! wheew! Blog ya later!
One last thing...check out the following blog for some awesome nail ideas and an great giveaway! http://opinionatedlf.blogspot.com/

Part Two of Ho Hum day...
Ok, so I finished up my pedi...a nice bright yellow "sunshine" from Avon with polka dots in "fuchsia" and "vivid violet", also from Avon, and a turquoise blue glitter from LA Deco Art. Here it is....
Tragic looking nails/fingers I know...While in the States yesterday, I broke a couple of nails closing my trunk (grrrrr) and me, being the anal person I am, could not live with this so I HAD to file down ALL my nails to make them some what even... I know my fingers look horrible too. I bit my nails for years before breaking the habit, but sadly, I have not learned to quit chewing/picking at the skin surrounding my nails... Anyone have any sure proof ways to get me to stop???
My day was pretty "Ho Hum" all day...took me forever to get the gumption to get dressed. By then it was time to make supper and tidy up a bit before Shawn's friends from school got to the house to study/work on assignments (and get their nails painted too!).
Enjoyed some time outside with my furbaby then hung out with my sidekick Christine (and painted her nails too!) .
Sorry, not much interesting to blog about today. I am tired and heading to bed. Long day tomorrow. Doing a friends nails, hitting a BBQ and rodeo with my cutie-patootie honorary niece Morgan, and watching my daughter AND son play baseball...Wow! I'm tired just thinking about it already! LOL
Oh...before I go to bed, check out the following blog on a chance to win a great giveaway! http://www.polish-em.net/2011/07/mini-giveaway-time.html
Night!
Keep in mind I am neither a professional pedicurist OR photographer, and yes, I do have large, ugly man feet! LOL
I also did a matching manicure later in the day. Here it is....

Night!
Ho hum kinda day...
Yea!!! Hubby learned his lesson. He actually picked out all of his clothes, etc and put them out in the living room last night so he wouldn't wake me by accident...very good job Shawn, keep it up! LOL
Had another late night last night but it was because I was busy trying to figure out this blog setup...still don't have it all figured out but be patient and I will continue to try and work out the kinks.
Sadly (more like pathetically), I am still sportin' my jammies today. Did a bit of clean up, but mostly worked on organizing my polishes. I cleaned out a 3 drawer organizer on wheels that we were originally using downstairs in our computer area, but since my hubby just got a new computer desk I put everything into it and then organized my polishes by brand name in it. Looks much better, I just have to figure out a way to be able to "pick" out the polish I want without having to lift each one out to see its colour....maybe a sticky dot on top with a swatch from the bottle? That will be for another day to figure out! I will upload pics of what it looks like later (still haven't attempted to figure out that part of blogging yet).
In the process of giving myself a pedi , but stopped for a break and to let the first colour of polish dry thoroughly before moving on, again, pics will be posted hopefully in the near future.
The most exciting thing to happen so far today is that I created my first Frankenpolish! I mixed a near empty bottle of Sinful's pink creme, with a bit of Avon's tangastic and innocent violet along with Sally Hansens' orange you fast; 3D; and disco ball. I love outcome colour, will definetly try to upload a pic of that too! I can't wait to give Frankenpolish making another try! Once I get it uploaded I would like some help coming up with a creative name for it..
Well, polish on my toes should be dried now, and I really should get my butt in gear and at least get dressed today! Blog ya later!

First Blog Post
Ok..so this is is my very first blog post. Hmmm...Where to start?
Well, lets start with the beginning of my day....
My husband who is back in school taking Business Accounting woke me up at 7am (did I mention I am off work for the summer AND I was up until 4 am with a horrible headache and nausea?) because he couldn't find his text book and wondered where I put it. "Where I put it??? It's not MY textbook, how the hell would I know where it is??!! ESPECIALLY after being woken up after only 3 hours of sleep! Anyways...I told him to #@$$!!!@##$$ off and go look for HIS textbook and leave me alone. (He did...smart guy)
So now I can't get back to sleep, and my headache is still going full steam ahead. I get up, let my furbaby outside to do his business and decide to do some laundry and other fun house hold tasks (dishes, vac, dust, etc).
My son, who is 18 and full of attitude gets a call to go work so I have to wake him up (10 am, NOT a time when any teen wants to get up, especially during their summer holidays), so imagine the atmosphere in my house after that...raging, cranky teen bitching about being woken up to go to work because HIS mom said "sure, he'll be there!", bitchy mom raging because her husband woke her up too early, and she feels like crap, AND one aging pug who is confused and upset by all the stomping around and grumbling...GOOD TIMES AT THE COGGHE HOUSEHOLD! Not! lol
Finally get my son off to work, finish cleaning and start thinking about sneaking a nap in before my hubby gets home from school when I get an email to go pick up my son's ball uniform(which had to be delivered to Port Huron(an hour and a half away). I should mention that my son (and daughter) play baseball. My son, was chosen to play with USAAI this summer in Italy, so since he is the only Canadian on the team, his uniform was being delivered to Blue Water Shipping and we have been waiting for it's arrival with great anticipation (we leave in a week).
I have no idea where I am going so I call dear old mom and ask her to come along for the ride and show me where to go (my mom shops in the states at least 3 times a month, so the woman knows where she's going..). Still feeling horrible, I get myself ready and head 20 minutes away to get my mom, then venture off states side to get my (un)grateful sons uniform for him. 6 hours and several nail polishes later (we HAD to do a little shopping didn't we??) I was back home with his uniform and resting peacefully...headache down to a dull roar now.
I will try to post pics of my goodies, etc hopefully tomorrow, but I can't make any promises because I have 3 friends coming by for manicures....
I didn't mean to babble so much...hope you decide to come back and check my blog out again soon!
